Japan, others eye Pacific Enviromnent Community

Japan and 16 Pacific countries and territories will agree to establish a "Pacific environment community," a regional bloc aimed at promoting cooperation on global warming and other environmental issues, at a meeting to be held in Hokkaido in May.
