SHOSO-IN TREASURES SPECIAL / Exhibition marks Imperial anniversaries

The 61st Annual Exhibition of Shoso-in Treasures, under way at Nara National Museum through Nov. 12, features pieces marking the 20th anniversary of the Emperor's enthronement and 50th marriage anniversary of the Emperor and Empress.

This year's exhibition illustrates a heritage preserved for more than 1,250 years and includes pieces that shed light on the origins of Imperial family ceremonies.
